Select (solid fuel or oil)

This classic model with its solid ines, square lids and alrge rectangular hotplate is available as a powerful, solid fuel central heating cooker producing a massive 70,000 BTU/h. The Select solid fuel is best suited to smokeless fuel and can be conveniently refuelled through the front or the top. The oil Select offers a range of options from cooking only to hot water and/or central heating versions across a choice of outputs allowing you to specify a Select to provide your specific heating requirements, an important consideration when choosing a central heating range cooker Like all oil fired ESSEs the Select is quiet and reliable and offers a good degree of controllability. The Select is a joy to cook with. The variable temperature hotplate is highly efficient and the ovens provide the perfect cooking environment using ESSE's famed heat transfer method, the super conductive steel walls creating an even, gentle heat that enables juices and flavours to be sealed in.

Select (gas)

The gas Select has been designed to provide all the modern cooking and heating convenience of a gas powered range (natural or LPG) whilst providing a mighty central heating performance (up to 60,000 BTU/h) which will easily cope with most domestic central heating systems. The cooker and voiler are heated independantly by two atmospheric burners, the first providing controllable heat for the ovens and hotplate and the second providing hot water via a highly efficient steel boiler. The gas Select also incorporates the latest CE approved 'down draught' deflector within its flue connector. The burners operate quietly and reliably, requiring little maintenance and feature oxygen sensing safety shut off mechanisms. The boiler can be programmed via an electronic timing clock, and it's comforting to know that in the unlikely event of a power cut the Select's cooking capabilities will be unaffected.
