Lasting Quality Built Through Craftsmanship

We were founded over 30 years ago as a precision engineering company and first became specialist stove producers in 1979. Over the years we have built an enviable reputation for the quality, reliability and fuel efficiency of our products, by combining modern manufacturing technology and methods with traditional and highly skilled engineering expertise and craftsmanship. Our "Bayswater", "Chelsea" and "Supreme" multi-fuel stoves incorporate an advanced cleaner burning "airwash" system, which not only helps keep the glass clean, but also improves fuel efficiency.
....To ensure the highest standards, all our stoves are manufactured using cast iron components from carefuly selected and monitored Britishy forges and the best 5mm thick steel plate available in Britain, which has been prestressed to withstand extremes of temperature.

Choosing The Right Villager Stove

Because we want you to get the very best from the Villager stove that is right for you, we have included the following information which we hope you will find useful.
....It is important to know the heat output you require from your stove. To produce a comfortable room temperature of around 21/22°Celsius (70° Fahrenheit), when the outside temperature is 0°, you will need about 1kW of heat for every 14 cubic metres of space. 1kW is the equivalent of approximately 1 bar of an electric fire. Depending on the number of windows and doors and the level of insulation there is in the room the calculation may vary slightly. The folowing example will give you a reasonable guide to the heat output you are likely to need. A room that is in the region of 6.5 mtrs. (21ft. 6") x 4.5 mtrs. (15ft.) x 2.4 mtrs. high (8ft.) will require a stove with an output if about 5kW to adequately heat its 70.2 cubic metres (91.8 cubic yards) of space. Please ask your Villager dealer for our heat efficiency and output calculation card.
....Although we have tried to make this information as comprehensive as possible we appreciate that ever installation will have it's own requirements. We therefore suggest that before making a final decision you talk with yout Vilager dealer who will be happy to help. Although we are occasionalyl asked about colours other than black, we have resisted the temptation to introduce any of them. We have found that traditional black remains the most popular, for the best good reasons that it is compatible with any decorating colour scheme.
